Job summary

Qualitate is seeking a Data Operations Associate in New York City to own data quality pipelines and QA processes. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, resolve data issues, and help scale our AI-native research platform.

You will implement validation, handle escalations, and build guardrails while shaping how data flows across the organization. This hands‑on role offers ownership and growth in a fast‑growing startup.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Data Operations or as a QA analyst, with a track record troubleshooting data errors, escalations, and edge cases.
• Data quality is top of mind; you implement data validation, cleaning, and quality‑assurance processes.
• You're proficient in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets, and you use AI tools to speed up your work.
• You're detail oriented; small errors don't slip past you, and you communicate clearly about what you find and how you're resolving it.
• You want real ownership in a lean team with direct accountability for the systems you build.
• You're comfortable with ambiguity; early‑stage data infra can be messy, and you build order out of it.

Responsibilities

• Manage data QA processes.
• Handle data escalations; diagnose root causes and fulfill ad-hoc data requests.
• Build compliance guardrails into data processes to protect sensitive information.
• Drive end-to-end survey launches, collaborating with Intelligence Strategy & Ops and Market Research to reach quarterly goals.
• Tackle unstructured data and build out AI tooling to improve efficiency.
• Manage offshore service provider relationships with reporting and SLA alignment.
• Maintain SOPs to keep processes consistent and scalable.
