Job summary

Qualitate is seeking a Data Engineer in New York City to own the data foundation for our AI-native primary research platform. You’ll build and maintain data pipelines, design data models, and develop AI-powered enrichment workflows that turn thousands of conversations into structured, searchable insights.

You’ll collaborate with Applied AI, Market Research, and Engineering. You should be strong in SQL, comfortable with TypeScript or Python, and able to deploy across S3, PostgreSQL, and modern

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries on large datasets.
• Proficient in either TypeScript or Python with production-quality coding experience.
• Experience building data pipelines and data integrations across systems.
• Familiarity with unstructured data and data enrichment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines. Design ETL/ELT processes ingesting data into core systems.
• Design data models and data systems across relational and non-relational stores.
• Build AI-powered data enrichment pipelines using LLMs and other AI systems.
• Own data quality end-to-end with automated QA and monitoring.
• Partner cross-functionally with Research, Applied AI, and Engineering to define schemas and contracts.
• Document data lineage, schemas, and runbooks as the data foundation is built.
