Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain the organization’s data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. The role focuses on deploying DLP/DSPM solutions, configuring policies, and troubleshooting incidents.

You will work with senior engineers to enhance data protection policies, participate in projects, and automate tasks with PowerShell and Python while staying aligned with HIPAA and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software's.
• 5 years of experience creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell etc.).
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support to at least two of the following cloud service providers: Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services or Azure
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83 cyber security framework, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, and ITIL 3

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the organization's data protection infrastructure across platforms, including DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions for on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms, including sensitive information types and tuning parameters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation; participate in meetings for updates.
• Use PowerShell and Python to automate deployment and maintenance of protection software.
• Collaborate with team members to expand data protection knowledge and keep current with industry requirements.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance standards.
