AbbVie’s BTS Information Research organization seeks a Manager, Data Products & Delivery to lead a blended team of data engineers and data curation specialists. You will shape AI-ready data products, define priorities, coordinate cross-functional work, and drive reliable data delivery aligned with scientific and platform needs.

The role emphasizes governance, metadata, and scalable data solutions across ARCH initiatives, enabling trusted research data access and improved analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years experience in IT/data domains.
• Experience mentoring, supervising, or coordinating technical team members.
• Experience leading technical delivery in data engineering, management, or analytics environments.
• Ability to operate with autonomy, resolve delivery challenges, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Experience managing delivery using Agile practices and Jira backlog/sprint planning.
• Experience applying data quality, metadata management, governance, lineage, and modeling.
• Knowledge of modern data platforms, data integration, ETL/ELT, Airflow, cloud technologies, and data warehousing.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional business, scientific, platform, vendor, or external-partner teams.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills for translating priorities and risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution for curated, reusable, AI-ready data products across projects.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, platform teams to resolve blockers and dependencies.
• Mentor and manage employees, contractors, and partners supporting data delivery.
• Establish team rhythms: backlogs, sprints, progress visibility, issue escalation.
• Lead data curation decisions: standards, metadata, lineage, documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to align priorities and manage risks.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and lifecycle standards.
