Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $77.00/hr

Responsibilities

Kforce's client is looking for a Data Product Manager for a hybrid contract in San Francisco, CA. The Data Product Manager will play a critical role in building and enhancing our data intelligence platform. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute the product roadmap. The primary focus will be on supporting critical business functions that rely on data to drive time-sensitive business processes through a scalable and robust data platform. The Data Product Manager will work closely with data engineering and data science teams to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our data assets. Responsibilities include:

  • Working with Agile scrum teams on design, definition, documentation, and implementation of features for new applications, business infrastructure, data security, and data structure
  • Documenting and entering user stories in Jira and assisting in story point analysis
  • Documenting data mapping for use-cases and owning data mapping for specific areas
  • Documenting, monitoring, and revising artifacts such as product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes
  • Assisting in preparing and maintaining the product roadmap for short- and long-term releases
  • Participating in user acceptance testing of functional requirements
  • Acting as the product owner for an Agile scrum team; partnering with engineering to ensure team delivery and accountability
  • Managing the product backlog, including grooming, prioritization, and sprint planning
  • Communicating product updates and progress to stakeholders, executives, and clients
  • Acting with a sense of urgency, intellectual curiosity, and going beyond job boundaries
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; an advanced degree is a plus
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Manager or similar role, preferably in a data-focused environment
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, management, and engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with financial data and analytics is highly desirable
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders
  • Proficiency with agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment

The pay range reflects the lowest to highest compensation Kforce reasonably believes it would pay at posting. Actual pay may vary based on factors like education, experience, and performance. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and insurance options. Salaried employees receive paid time off; hourly employees' PTO eligibility varies. Pay is not considered compensation until earned and paid. This role is not eligible for bonuses or incentives.
