The Team

The Ford Motor Credit Company has a Product Organization, and this role falls in the US organization of that team. This role will report to the Group Product Manager, Experience Platform and will partner closely with engineering and business partners.

Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related Field
  • 12+ years of experience in Product Management, with a proven track record of success in delivering impactful products.
  • Possess a strong understanding of GraphQL, Apollo Client/Server/Studio, Google Cloud Platform, Observability tools, pipelines, Kafka and other event streaming platforms and related technologies.
  • Experience in building data and event orchestration platforms.
  • Experience in API Security and gateway. Familiarity with RBAC and ABAC Concepts for API Security in a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, fluid environment where priorities shift on a regular basis
  • Ability to break down complex tasks or requirements into simpler, more manageable tasks identifying clear pros, cons, issues, obstacles, and dependencies

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • You will be responsible and accountable for the delivery and growth of innovative Orchestration platforms built using GraphQL, API security gateway, and event streaming platforms that other internal digital product teams can leverage. You'll also work with tech teams in a matrixed environment whilst owning the future vision and roadmap of your area.

You’ll be expected to:

  • Define and champion a bold product vision and strategy for the Orchestration Platform, driving alignment with the company's strategic modernization initiatives and maximizing business impact.
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing strategic initiatives based on rigorous business case analysis, deep user understanding, and technical feasibility. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure product success and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to gain a profound understanding of complex business processes and translate them into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Leverage deep expertise in orchestration technologies and patterns to ensure the platform effectively addresses evolving data querying, mutation, and event-driven needs, enabling seamless user journeys.
  • Articulate a compelling product narrative, effectively communicating the platform's value proposition and driving adoption across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate collaborative discovery sessions, such as event storming, with cross-functional teams to define and refine complex business processes, data flows, and system interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, from requirement grooming and technical design to implementation, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality delivery and technical excellence.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure successful product launches, ongoing support, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate persuasively with senior leadership, stakeholders, and team members, advocating for the Orchestration Platform and its strategic importance to the organization.
  • Translate product requirements into well-defined Epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, driving efficient execution and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Orchestrate the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process, ensuring rigorous validation of delivered functionality and securing formal stakeholder sign-off.
