Job summary

Trimble is seeking a Data Product Engineer to advance our Data & Analytics practice. You will design, build, and scale data pipelines, models, and reusable products for BI, internal apps, and AI consumers, while defining data contracts and governance.

You will lead architecture decisions and contribute to secure, observable, and cost-effective data platforms. You will collaborate across teams to evolve AI-native workflows, enable API endpoints, MCP servers, and semantic layers that deliver

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related field.
Strong SQL, Python, data modeling, ELT design, pipeline performance and reliability.
Proficient with dbt, orchestration tools, and cloud data services (GCP preferred).
Experience with CI/CD, observability, and data contracts.

Responsibilities

Build, scale, and maintain data pipelines, analytics models, and reusable data products for BI, internal apps, and AI consumers.
Provide architectural guidance and establish standards for data contracts, ownership, access, and lifecycle management.
Shape and operate a governed semantic layer delivering consistent metrics across reporting, apps, APIs, and AI services.
Improve data quality, observability, monitoring, incident practices, and cost management.
Deliver end-to-end solutions from discovery to deployment, including internal apps and APIs.
