The firm's practice focuses on representing consumers in sophisticated litigation involving data privacy, consumer protection, and related statutory claims. This position is particularly well suited for an attorney with strong legal research and writing skills who is interested in building a practice at the intersection of complex litigation, consumer protection, and emerging privacy issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and evaluate potential consumer protection, data privacy, and related litigation claims.

  • Draft complaints, substantive motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.

  • Conduct legal and factual research to support case development and litigation strategy.

  • Review and analyze terms of service, privacy policies, arbitration provisions, and other relevant agreements.

  • Assist with developing litigation strategies and preparing case evaluations and recommendations.

  • Draft and respond to written discovery, including document requests, interrogatories, and requests for admission.

  • Review documents for relevance, confidentiality, and privilege.

  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, including drafting outlines, analyzing testimony, and taking or defending depositions as appropriate.

  • Assist with trial preparation, mediation, settlement negotiations, and related proceedings.

  • Communicate directly with clients, co-counsel, and other members of the litigation team.

Qualifications:

  • New York Bar admission required.

  • Experience with complex civil litigation, class actions, consumer protection, data privacy, or related substantive matters.

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills, with demonstrated experience drafting substantive litigation documents.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.

  • Ability to independently manage assignments, meet deadlines, and take ownership of substantive projects.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with partners, associates, and other legal professionals.

  • Interest in developing expertise in consumer protection and data privacy litigation.

Compensation & Additional Details:
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the New York City office and two days working remotely.

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; short- and long-term disability coverage; and 401(k) participation.

  • Additional benefits include technology reimbursement and student loan reimbursement.

  • Opportunity to gain substantive experience in a growing litigation practice handling sophisticated consumer and data privacy disputes.
