Job summary

The New York Times is seeking a Technical Product Manager II, Data Platforms to lead the development of data products and platform capabilities in our New York City office.

You will partner with engineers, data scientists, and analysts to design scalable data infrastructure, improve data collection, processing, and data-driven experiences, and drive governance and quality across data assets.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing and building data products as a PM or similar role.
• Experience implementing complex data systems to support decision-making.
• Familiar with data handling approaches and technologies.
• Understanding of data governance, modeling, pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data leaders to create a coordinated data products roadmap.
• Deliver high-quality data products across domains that enable data-driven decisions.
• Deliver products that help analysts, scientists, and managers discover information about content and business.
• Establish product lifecycle and processes to ensure data product quality.
• Partner with teams to understand and address data and analytics needs.
