Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Data Support Engineer in Michigan to provide Tier 1 support for the enterprise data platform. You will handle incidents, user access provisioning, dashboards, and basic data engineering tasks while collaborating with Data Engineers, Analysts, and business users.

You'll monitor data loads, assist with data quality, and contribute to documentation and training. This role offers growth in data engineering and a path within a dynamic packaging and automation company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 0-3 years of experience in IT support, analytics, data management, or related technical roles.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for data platform support requests and incidents.
• Monitor daily data loads, integrations, and scheduled processes.
• Investigate and resolve routine data issues and elevate complex problems when necessary.
• Respond to user questions regarding dashboards, reports, datasets, and data availability.
• Create and maintain support documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Provision, modify, and remove user access across data and reporting platforms.
• Support data quality validation activities and investigate data discrepancies.
• Assist with data cleansing, transformation, and standardization efforts.
• Participate in testing and deployment activities for new data integrations.
• Help maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and technical specifications.
• Work directly with business users to understand data-related issues and requirements.
• Educate users on available reporting tools and data resources.
• Assist with training materials and user documentation.
