Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Platform Owner for its Data Platforms team in Piscataway, NJ. The role focuses on governance, roadmap ownership, and maximizing platform value to enable data-driven decisions across the business.

You will partner with engineering and stakeholders to deliver high-complexity data platform components, shaping the product vision and prioritizing features for impact and feasibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or similar degree.
• 3 years of working experience utilizing Data Warehousing methodologies and tooling, as well as data engineering and data ingestion methodologies and tooling.
• Hands on experience with SDLC, Agile, Scrum Methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and delivery of high complexity data platform components in line with technical or business needs.
• Establish a shared platform/product vision and strategy for the Data Platform and its users.
• Serve as the primary point of contact on stakeholder engagements.
• Maximize the value of the platform: reduce development timelines and costs, drive how we use and integrate new vendor features and offerings and narrow overall platform the time-to-value.
• Assess existing product capabilities and identify opportunities to improve our utilization, user/developer experience, platform stability and performance.
• Identify customer and user needs, developing a strategic plan/roadmap that aligns to business goals, and planning and executing to that vision
• Create and maintain the backlog with inputs from stakeholders and the team.
• Weigh risks, issues, and impediments being experienced by Platform team(s) and actively assists with issue resolution.
• Provide mentorship to business associates through community of practice and other informal forums.
• Closely partners with Engineering to solve complex business and client problems.
