Job summary

AirLife is seeking a Data Engineering & Platform Manager to own the enterprise data platform, Databricks environment, and data pipelines from ERP and other systems into a governed Lakehouse. You will drive data quality, governance, and architecture to support analytics and AI capabilities across the business.

You will lead a team, mentor staff, and partner with BI, Supply Chain Analytics, and FP&A to meet evolving data needs.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of data engineering experience with 3+ years in Databricks administration/pipeline development
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field; Databricks certification preferred
• Experience with end-to-end data pipelines in enterprise environments; ERP integration (SAP preferred)
• Strong SQL and Python; PySpark preferred; experience with data governance & metadata management
• Ability to translate analytics/AI needs into scalable data platform solutions

Responsibilities

• Own and administer the AirLife Databricks environment end-to-end
• Lead and mentor data team members and manage staff performance
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines from SAP, Dynamics GP, Salesforce into Databricks Lakehouse
• Establish and enforce data governance, cataloging, lineage, and data quality rules
• Define and maintain medallion data architecture (bronze/silver/gold) for data assets
• Partner with AI/BI and FP&A to ensure data needs are met
• Monitor pipeline health, data quality, and platform performance; resolve issues
• Manage Databricks license cost and Azure billing; optimize for cost efficiency
• Document standards, runbooks, and onboarding patterns for maintainability
• Lead data integration reviews and evaluate new data sources
