Franchise World Headquarters, LLC is seeking a Senior Data Architect to define and evolve our enterprise data platform on Databricks, spanning lakehouse, streaming, and batch workloads. You will mentor engineers and drive scalable, secure data solutions across analytics, BI, and product teams.

The role focuses on modernization of data warehouses, governance, and cost efficiency, leveraging Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow, and Databricks Workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture.
• Experience building enterprise-scale data platforms on Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead enterprise data-platform architecture on Databricks (lakehouse, streaming, batch).
• Migrate legacy warehouses to Databricks lakehouse; set architecture standards and guardrails.
• Guide pipelines with Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, MLflow, and Databricks Workflows.
• Enforce data governance (RBAC/ABAC, metadata management) and secure data access models.
• Mentor engineers, drive cost-optimization, and track platform KPIs (reliability, data freshness).
• Collaborate with Analytics, BI, Security, and Product teams on architecture decisions.
