Job summary

Horizon AI seeks a Data Platform Lead to build the data foundation the platform reasons over. You will shape the fleet knowledge model, topology, and current state so an agent can query in one call.

You will also implement the decision-capture pipeline and instrument operator workflows to capture human decisions from day one. You will own the data access layer for telemetry sources and negotiate requirements with teams owning signals, granularity, and retention.

Qualifications

• Strong data modelling judgment for infrastructure domains.
• Experience with time-series and event data at scale.
• Depth in PostgreSQL, including vector search, with evolving schemas.
• Infrastructure literacy to understand fleet components.
• Bias toward shipping usable models early.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the fleet knowledge model.
• Build the decision-capture pipeline and collect labelled human decisions.
• Own the data access layer for telemetry sources.
• Negotiate requirements with telemetry-owning teams.
• Own the scale path and vector index behaviour.
