Job summary

Horizon3.ai is seeking a senior Data Platform Leader to own the design, scale, and operation of NodeZero data infrastructure across millions of assets and findings. You will driver architecture, reliability, and cross-team collaboration to deliver a robust data platform.

You will build and mentor a team of engineers, establish governance standards, and partner with Security Research and API Platform to advance data capabilities in a fast-growing, remote company.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading teams that design and operate relational and hybrid data stores at scale.
• Experience defining schema migration strategies for high-velocity environments with zero downtime.
• Strong understanding of multi-tenant architectures and data residency considerations.
• Proficiency in performance tuning: indexing, EXPLAIN, and connection pooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Database Platform team responsible for the core data infrastructure for NodeZero pentests and reports.
• Define technical direction for NodeZero's data platform, including schema standards and migration strategies.
• Own SLOs for database availability, latency, and data integrity across production.
• Establish schema governance and data modeling standards; evolve data models with new capabilities.
• Collaborate with Data Ingestion, Security Research, and API Platform teams on data contracts and pipelines.
• Act as Product Owner translating platform needs into an engineering roadmap.
