Motion Recruitment seeks a Lead Data Architect to design and evolve a modern enterprise data platform. You will drive scalable, cloud-native data solutions, set architecture standards, and mentor engineers across analytics teams.

The role partners with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted data for reporting, operational intelligence, and advanced analytics. Remote or hybrid options in the US.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience specifically in a Data Architect role.
• 8+ years of overall experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related disciplines.
• Expert-level data modeling experience (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Hands-on Snowflake architecture and optimization experience.
• Strong SQL development skills in large-scale environments.
• Python development for data engineering and automation.
• Experience designing enterprise data platforms and cloud-native solutions.
• ELT/ETL pipeline development experience.
• Experience implementing data quality, metadata, and lineage frameworks.
• Understanding of modern data architectures, CDC, event-driven ingestion, and orchestration patterns.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead PoC initiatives.

Job Description A leading organization in the insurance and risk management space is seeking a Lead Data Architect to drive the design, development, and evolution of a modern enterprise data platform. This individual will play a key role in building scalable cloud-based data solutions while establishing architecture standards and best practices across the organization.

This position is ideal for a senior-level data professional with 5+ years of dedicated Data Architect experience and deep expertise in modern data platforms. The Lead Data Architect will partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to create trusted, governed, and highly scalable data solutions that support enterprise reporting, operational intelligence, and advanced analytics.

Location: Remote (EST/CST preferred) or Hybrid in Boston, MA

Compensation: Up to $160,000 base salary

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience specifically in a Data Architect role
• 8+ years of overall experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related disciplines
• Expert-level data modeling experience, including conceptual, logical, and physical modeling
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and optimization
• Strong SQL development skills in large-scale enterprise environments
• Python development experience for data engineering and automation
• Experience designing enterprise data platforms and cloud-native data solutions
• Hands-on ELT/ETL pipeline development experience
• Experience implementing data quality, metadata, and lineage frameworks
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures, CDC, event-driven ingestion, and orchestration patterns
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with dbt, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies
• Knowledge of master data management (MDM) and governance frameworks
• Experience supporting enterprise analytics and business intelligence initiatives
• Insurance industry experience
• Snowflake certification
• Experience with Power BI or other BI platforms

The Offer

• Base salary up to $160,000
