Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Data Platform Manager to lead delivery and operations of data platforms, pipelines, and integrations. You will ensure reliable, secure, governed, and cost-effective services that enable trusted data products and timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply engineering standards, participate in architecture and design reviews, and make sound team-level technical and delivery decisions.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy, security, retention, lineage, and access-control requirements.
• Experience delivering and supporting production data pipelines, integrations, or data products.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, orchestration, data modeling, cloud data services, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Manages team intake, delivery plans, and ongoing support for data platforms, pipelines, integrations, and data products; communicates scope and risks to stakeholders and escalates cross-team issues.
• Applies established data-engineering standards and architecture practices to team delivery; contributes input to roadmaps and design reviews.
• Ensures reliable operation of production data services with targets, observability, incident response, and cost monitoring; escalates material risks.
• Hires, coaches, develops, and performance-manages 4-8 direct reports; supports workforce planning and staffing.
• Drives data-product quality practices, including schema, contracts, testing, and monitoring; addresses quality issues.
• Drives improvements in automation, tooling, and delivery practices, including safe use of AI-assisted tools.
