The role emphasizes hiring, coaching, and developing 4–8 direct reports, driving engineering automation, and applying data-quality practices across platforms and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering, software analytics, or related disciplines, including 1–2 years of technical leadership.
• Hands-on experience delivering production data pipelines, integrations, or data products.

Responsibilities

• Manages team intake, delivery plans, and ongoing support for data platforms and data products.
• Applies data-engineering standards and architecture practices to team delivery; contributes to roadmaps and reviews.
• Ensures reliable operation of production data services with observability, incident response, and change management.
• Hires, coaches, develops, and performance-manages 4–8 direct reports; supports workforce planning.
• Applies data-product quality practices, including schema and data contracts, testing, and monitoring.
• Drives team-level improvement in automation, tooling, and safe use of AI-assisted tools.
