Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Platform Engineering to lead a critical part of the Data Platform team as the organization scales its technology, engineering practices, and client delivery capabilities.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Client Delivery, and business stakeholders to build a scalable, trusted data foundation that supports Cohere's growth and downstream applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data/ platform engineering or related field.
• 3+ years directly managing software or data engineers in production.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering initiatives with delivery discipline.
• Strong depth in modern data platforms and cloud architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Data Platform engineering team.
• Translate priorities into delivery plans with milestones, owners, and risks.
• Establish and maintain delivery discipline; address blockers and scope changes.
• Work with Staff Engineers and architectural leadership to validate approaches.
• Build partnerships across Product, Client Delivery, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations.
• Drive reliability, observability, and on-call readiness across production systems.
