Job summary

Campfire in San Francisco is seeking a Data Engineer who will help design and build the platform that moves customer financial data and enables AI-driven implementations. You won't be writing in a traditional ETL tool; you'll own end-to-end data pipelines and the agent stack that runs on the platform.

You should be comfortable with Python and modern web stacks (NextJS/React), prefer hands-on builders, and enjoy taking ownership in a lean, fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building data pipelines that move customer financial data from ERP/data warehouses into a live system.
• Experience building AI agents or LLM-powered systems is a strong plus.
• Self-driven and autonomous; you take ownership and drive projects to completion.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast in a lean team.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds pipelines that move customer financial data reliably from source systems into Campfire and keep it flowing after go-live.
• Ships major features on the AI agent that drives customer implementations and expands autonomous capabilities.
• Partners with the implementation team to understand customer data and transform it into platform capabilities.
• Contribute to Ember, the shared agent stack poweringCampfire's AI products beyond data integration.
