Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to own the automation layer and API integrations that power our model deployment workflows. You will design and run CI/CD pipelines, build event-driven workflows in n8n and other tools, and collaborate across IT and Platform Engineering to raise the bar on reliability.

The role emphasizes ownership, speed, and scalable infrastructure on AWS/GCP, with Terraform/OpenTofu/Pulumi, Kubernetes, and secure integrations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building production systems with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on workflow orchestration with n8n, Temporal, Make, or similar.
• Strong API fluency across REST, GraphQL, and webhooks with auth mechanisms.
• CI/CD ownership at scale using common tooling.
• Cloud and containers in production Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate the automation layer with real error handling in workflows.
• Own design and secure integration of internal/external APIs and webhooks.
• Co-own delivery infrastructure: CI/CD for model deploys and IaC.
• Package and scale GPU/CPU workloads on Kubernetes with efficient utilization.
• Instrument observability and build self-healing paths into workflows.
