Job summary

INEOS Energy seeks a Data Platform Engineer to own data models from raw operations data to analytics-ready outputs. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and analytics solutions using dbt, SQL, Python, and other modern data tools, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into production-grade data systems.

The role requires expertise in data modeling, governance, and modern data architecture, with a focus on reliable, production-ready data platforms

Qualifications

Formal degree in a technical field with understanding of data modeling and governance.
Minimum 8+ years in data architecture/engineering roles, preferably in upstream oil and gas.
Experience with modern data stacks and production-grade data solutions.
Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable data models to support analytics and AI workloads.
Build and maintain dbt models with testing and version control.
Integrate telemetry/SCADA data with time-series considerations.
Write and optimize SQL transformations for reporting and analytics.
Develop semantic layers with documented lineage and governance standards.
