Job summary

1P284 THE CARLYLE GROUP EMPLOYEE CO., LLC is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer for Credit Data & Applications to build and enhance the Credit Data Warehouse, supporting portfolio analytics and external integrations.

You will design data pipelines with Snowflake/Databricks, use dbt for transformations, and orchestrate with Airflow, partnering with investment and operations teams to deliver scalable, BI-ready data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Hands-on dbt, Airflow, and SQL expertise.
• Experience with Power BI and BI data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance scalable data models in Snowflake and Databricks across layers.
• Develop and maintain transformation logic with dbt.
• Design and optimize SQL for large financial datasets.
• Create data quality checks and audit controls.
• Collaborate with Credit IQ/Power BI teams for semantic layers.
• Develop DAGs and data pipelines in Airflow.
• Support data integrations via APIs and file transfers.
