Job summary

UJET is seeking a Data Engineer to own the data platform end-to-end, including CDC replication from production MySQL, pipelines to BigQuery, and Looker models. You will shape data as a product, ensure reliability, and partner with analytics, finance, and product to deliver trusted, actionable insights.

The role emphasizes building scalable data infrastructure, CI/CD, and Terraform-managed environments on a cloud-native stack, aligned with our AI-powered contact center platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with strong data platform experience.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; able to model analytics-ready datasets.
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery and dbt; building or improving data infra.
• Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, and data governance practices.
• Experience with Looker/LookML and cloud data warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Own data systems end-to-end: CDC replication, pipelines, and Looker models.
• Build and maintain data platforms, patterns, and documentation.
• Improve ingestion, CDC reliability, and backfill tooling.
• Partner with Analytics and Finance to deliver trusted metrics and dashboards.
• Design scalable data pipelines and ensure data quality and observability.
