Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in California. You will design and optimize large-scale data transformations, build scalable big data systems, and contribute to core products used by hundreds of millions of users.

You will work with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, and other technologies to enable reporting, growth analysis, and multi-dimensional insights. A Bachelor's degree is required; Master's preferred for advanced roles, with onboarding by year-end.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a software/CS/CE related field or equivalent.
Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Metastore, Presto, Flume, Kafka, ClickHouse, Flink).
Experience with data analysis, data ingestion and data integration.

Responsibilities

Design and build data transformations efficiently and reliably for reporting and growth analysis.
Design and implement reliable, scalable big data systems that support core products.
Establish solid design and best engineering practices for engineers and non-technical people.
