Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Data Engineer to join the data platform team, contributing to one of the world’s largest data platforms and impacting core products and hundreds of millions of users. The role emphasizes building scalable data transformations and robust data systems while collaborating across teams.

Successful candidates should have a strong background in Big Data technologies, data ingestion/integration, and ETL, with a focus on scalable, reliable design.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Metastore, Presto, Flume, Kafka, ClickHouse, Flink, etc.).
Experience with data analysis, data ingestion and data integration.

Responsibilities

Design and build data transformations for reporting, growth analysis, and multi-dimensional analysis.
Design and implement reliable, scalable big data systems that support core products.
Establish solid design and engineering practices for engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
