Job summary

TikTok is seeking a data engineer for the Global Live Data Platform team in California. You will build and optimize one of the world’s largest data platforms, enabling real-time and offline data warehousing, data assets, and data-driven decisions for TikTok LIVE features and creators.

The role involves collaborating with global teams to understand problems, design scalable data solutions, and promote data system usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computing Engineering or related field.
• Good experience in data solutions, such as data consulting, product development, and data tools creation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and data metrics.
• Understanding of data warehousing and construction ideas of the data system.
• Experience with coding (SQL, Python, etc.).
• Passionate and self-motivated about using data to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Understanding business problems, designing and implementing easy-to-use data solutions for businesses.
• Collaborating with data engineers to understand the data system and provide a smooth data usage experience for data users, including data discovery, data usage guidance, and promotion of the data system.
