Job summary

Hazel is hiring for a data platform lead who owns ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reliability across our consumer-brand data warehouse. You will extend AI agents to build and test new integrations end-to-end, automating the workflow for scale.

You will optimize ingestion, design clean data transformations, and ship multi-tenant source integrations. Candidates should show strong dbt, SQL, and Python skills, with production orchestrator ownership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production data infrastructure with ownership of a warehouse.
• Deep understanding of dbt and SQL with opinions on grain, incrementality, and data modeling.
• Strong Python programming for ingestion layers.
• Experience owning an orchestrator in production (Dagster, Airflow, Temporal, Prefect, etc.).
• AI-native in practice using coding agents to automate tasks.
• Good documentation skills as a product feature.
• Comfortable being the only person who does this job, and able to scale beyond that.

Responsibilities

• Own data platform end-to-end: ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reliability.
• Develop and expand AI agents to write, build, and test new data integrations end-to-end.
• Automate data integrations and transformations to scale operations.
• Ship new source integrations end-to-end and ensure low-latency data availability.
• Maintain data quality and documentation for the platform.
