Job summary
The NYC Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) is seeking a versatile Technical Lead to oversee reliability, security, scalability, and automation of analytics and enterprise platforms in a 24/7 operation. You will guide a team of sysadmins and specialists while contributing to cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and application delivery initiatives.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field with 3+ years IT leadership experience
- 4+ years progressively responsible IT experience including admin/leadership duties
- Experience in cloud, DevOps, and enterprise infrastructure as a must-have
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor system administrators and technical staff
- Oversee day-to-day operation, reliability, security, and performance of infrastructure and platform services
- Design, implement, and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions
- Drive IaC, CI/CD, automation, observability, and security
- Partner with application development teams to improve deployment, platform reliability, and developer productivity
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and application issues
- Establish standards for monitoring, disaster recovery, resiliency, capacity planning, and performance optimization
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement
- Act on behalf of the Senior Director for technical and operational matters, including team coordination
