Job summary

The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) in New York City seeks a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to secure city agencies, align with NYC cybersecurity policies, and guide risk management across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will analyze IAM posture, coordinate with the Cloud Security Team, and support remediation techniques in a fast-paced, 24/7 setting.

Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to projects and policies required by the position.
Education and/or experience equivalent to the above.
Expert knowledge in Governance, Risk & Compliance related to information security.

Responsibilities

Ensure cloud and on-prem technologies are integrated, tested, operated, and configured to meet NYC Cyber Command objectives.
Operate key defensive technologies including cloud-based security controls and endpoint protection.
Provide guidance on security design, processes and solutions at planning stages.
Coordinate across multiple projects and report status to stakeholders.
Document deployment plans and runbooks for agency adoption and risk management.
Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
