Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a Manager of Data Management and Operations to own the end-to-end data lifecycle across engineering, AI, test, and business teams. You will define data definitions, govern data, and ensure secure, auditable access while coordinating with the Foundry engineering team.

This leadership role blends technical execution with operations, building durable systems and teams, improving data quality, lineage, and availability at CHAOS test sites, and traveling to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• At least 8 years in data engineering/operations with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to own data governance, pipelines, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Establish company-wide governance for data definitions, ownership, quality, lineage, retention, and change management.
• Create authoritative datasets and shared definitions for consistent metrics.
• Collaborate with Foundry engineering on ingestion, ETL, modeling, validation, and monitoring.
• Own permissions management with Security and Compliance for least-privilege access.
• Build processes for data capture at test events: sensor data, metadata, truth data, labels, and logs.
• Translate test objectives into data requirements and ensure readiness before testing.
• Establish pre/post-test data reconciliation, validation, transfer, and cataloging.
• Improve collection methods, retention, data quality controls, and architecture.
