Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks an experienced Data Engineering / Data Architecture / DataOps Lead to design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines. Lead a team to deliver full lifecycle data engineering, from ingestion to analytics, enabling trusted, high-quality data for mission-critical applications.

You will establish DataOps practices, ensure data quality and security, and collaborate with multiple engineering teams to support AI and modeling initiatives while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, SW Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent).
• 10+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or data operations.
• Ability to lead technical efforts and mentor engineers.
• Proficiency with data tools: Airflow, dbt, NiFi, Talend, Kafka, Spark, Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), esp. Azure data tools.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in pipelines (NIST SP 800-171, FedRAMP, CMMC).
• Experience with metadata management, MDM, and data quality frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, strategic, and stakeholder-communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a corporate data management platform across networks, incl. classified and hybrid environments.
• Integrate enterprise data standards, pipelines, quality, and automated ingestion with end-user workflows.
• Coordinate data management activities with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure architectures with AI focus.
