Princeton University is seeking a Data/ML Engineer to strengthen the data team and advance data engineering, enrichment, and provisioning for large-scale social data used by researchers. The role involves building pipelines, operating ML enrichment workflows, and collaborating with internal and external partners on data products.

This 6-month term role may allow remote work within the United States for qualified candidates, with opportunities to extend based on performance and needs.

Formación

• 3+ years of data engineering or ML engineering experience, including production systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong Python and SQL with Spark experience on large data.
• Experience with cloud data platforms.
• Experience with ML/NLP pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines across the Accelerator's medallion architecture, with end-to-end ownership of transformation layers that serve researchers.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data including data quality validation and versioned schema contracts.
• Diagnose and optimize distributed data processing workloads at production scale.
• Develop deployment automation, CI/CD, and release processes for data products, including versioned data releases and researcher-facing change documentation.
• Design, develop, and operate ML and NLP enrichment pipelines over large-scale text and behavioral data.
• Own the full lifecycle of enrichment models: selection, evaluation, and versioning strategy.
