Job summary

Princeton University Retail is seeking a detail-oriented Data Migration Intern to support the transition of our product catalog from NetSuite ecommerce to Shopify. This temporary role offers hands-on experience in retail data, ecommerce, and technology implementation.

You will organize and clean product data in Excel, map products to categories, identify duplicates, track questions for merchant review, and help incorporate approved corrections.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized work style.
• Strong Excel skills for data prep and cleaning.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or Shopify is a plus, not required.

Data Migration Intern — Temporary Project

We are seeking a detail-oriented Princeton University student to help prepare our product catalog for the transition from NetSuite ecommerce to Shopify. This temporary role offers practical experience in retail data, ecommerce, and technology implementation.

Working with our merchandising team and project coordinator, you will:

• Organize and clean product data in Excel.
• Map existing products to proposed categories using our working template and classification guidelines.
• Identify missing information, duplicates, and inconsistent classifications.
• Track questions for merchant review and incorporate approved corrections.

Strong Excel skills, careful attention to detail, and an organized approach are essential. An interest in ecommerce, retail, or data management is helpful. Prior experience with NetSuite or Shopify is welcome but not required. Merchandising leaders will make final classification decisions.

Hours and Duration: 10-15 hours per week through January 2027 – pending progress
