Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Database Engineering or Data Engineering experience.
• Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience with data modeling and database design principles.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and database optimization.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex and large-scale database engineering initiatives with significant business impact.
• Analyze and resolve complex database and data engineering challenges requiring evaluation of multiple technical and business factors.
• Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-grade database solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration frameworks.
• Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Design logical and physical data models to support business and analytical requirements.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with application development, architecture, analytics, and infrastructure teams.
• Support cloud and on-premises database environments.
• Participate in database migration, modernization, and automation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and consultation to stakeholders and project teams.
• Contribute to strategic planning, architecture reviews, and database engineering best practices.
