Job summary

Catholic Community Services, Family Behavioral Health in Olympia, WA seeks a Data Management Specialist to maintain client data accuracy in the EHR and state/funder systems. The role supports clinical and operations staff with data management, reporting, audits, and compliance.

This on-site position reports to the CQI Clinical Manager and requires strong data skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in experience.
• 1+ years data entry into an Electronic Health Record or similar database.
• 2+ years in an office setting.
• Proficient in MS Office; Excel experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Pass background checks prior to offer.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to CCS values and culturally competent service.

Responsibilities

• Client Record Management: manage records in EHR; ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
• Insurance verification: verify Medicaid eligibility and update data across systems.
• Reporting and data monitoring: generate weekly/monthly reports for leadership and funders.
• Data quality and compliance: perform routine audits and correct discrepancies.
• Staff training and operational support: train new employees on data entry and reporting.
• Cross-training and team coverage: provide coverage during absences.
• Additional duties as assigned to meet department needs.
