Job summary

BCT Partners LLC is seeking a Data Management Specialist to support Head Start grant data, reporting, workflow tracking, and customer service functions. This role ensures the accuracy, quality, and accessibility of grant-related data used to support oversight, grant administration, and informed decision-making.

You will validate data, manage metadata, run basic SQL queries, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve data processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information management, library science, information systems, business admin, or related field.
• 3 years of post-baccalaureate professional experience in data management, records management, metadata management, document management, or related fields.
• Experience with data quality assurance, data governance, or enterprise data management initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform data validation, cleansing, standardization, and quality assurance activities to maintain accurate and reliable datasets.
• Review, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies across multiple systems and repositories.
• Maintain and manage metadata, records, and documentation in compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and data governance standards.
• Support the implementation and enforcement of data management best practices, standards, and workflows.
• Utilize Excel, Smartsheet, and other data management tools to organize, track, analyze, and report on data-related activities.
• Conduct basic SQL queries to validate data, generate reports, and support data analysis activities.
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of document management systems and electronic records repositories.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, data dictionaries, logs, and reporting materials.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve data issues, and improve data management processes.
• Support records retention and compliance initiatives by ensuring proper handling, storage, and documentation of organizational records.
• Monitor data quality metrics and recommend corrective actions or process improvements where necessary.
• Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and security of sensitive information in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits, reviews, and data governance initiatives as required.
