Publicis Groupe seeks a Director, Data Management Lead to govern client and agency data across media, measurement, and pharmaceutical domains. You will shape data strategy, architecture, onboarding, quality, and compliance while coordinating with global teams.

You will guide data flows, build scalable data pipelines, and push for robust governance, SLAs, and auditability, with hands-on support when needed. This role sits in the Data & Analytics organization in Chicago.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, analytics engineering, or data governance within a complex environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake, SQL, Python, data modeling, ETL/ELT, orchestration, testing, monitoring, and production support.
• Deep understanding of media and marketing data across digital and offline channels, with emphasis on governance and compliance.
• Proven experience establishing data governance, quality controls, reconciliation processes, error tracking, lineage, metadata, and SLAs.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and review or build data flows when delivery requires hands-on support.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with privacy, security, data handling, auditability, and compliance principles in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the client and agency data management and governance operating model across media, measurement, and pharmaceutical data domains.
• Design data quality guardrails, automated checks, thresholds, and exception handling across source-to-report pipelines.
• Lead ingestion, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and delivery of media data across paid search, social, programmatic, video, and publisher sources.
• Provide technical direction for scalable backend architecture in Databricks and Snowflake, including ETL/ELT and orchestration.
• Guide cross-functional teams through clear requirements, RACIs, decisions, dependencies, risks, and escalation paths.
• Partner with privacy, legal, and compliance stakeholders to embed appropriate access, handling, masking, retention, and audit controls.
