Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a senior leader to own Technology Governance & Analytics, overseeing governance architecture and the division's data/analytics capability. The role drives process improvement and aligns decision rights, risk interface, and performance management across senior technology leadership.

The position emphasizes building management intelligence, integrating financial, delivery, workforce and risk data, and leading cross‑functional teams in a complex, multi‑location environment.

Qualifications

• Combined minimum 13 years of higher education and/or work experience.
• Minimum 4 years of engineering and/or architecture experience.
• 9+ years in technology management or program leadership including people management.
• Proficiency with project management, word processing and spreadsheet apps.
• Able to lead across multiple projects, teams and time zones.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the division's governance architecture, including forums, decision rights, and escalation paths.
• Run the OKR framework as a governance discipline and link performance to leadership forums.
• Own and maintain the division's decision rights framework and interface with Technology Risk Management.
• Define the Management Information strategy and build the divisional analytics platform.
• Identify process improvements, reduce friction, and leverage ServiceNow for automation.
