Job summary

Netflix seeks a Data Lead for the Title Data Management team, owning lifecycle framework, data models, and cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, production, finance, and legal. You will shape how title data evolves as formats and catalogs grow, embedding robust data practices and scalable workflows.

You will partner with multiple teams, define frameworks, and drive metrics to show impact, while ensuring data quality and governance across the catalog lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in entertainment products/databases, TV/film production, gaming, advertising, or data management.
• Ability to build trust with multi-team groups without direct authority.
• Strong analytical skills to turn ambiguous problems into clear frameworks.
• Ability to independently scope, research, and define approaches.
• Experience creating roadmaps with cross-team dependencies.
• Project management: scoping, milestones, cross‑team coordination.
• Excellent communication translating technical nuances for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle and governance concepts.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and table-based apps (Excel, Airtable).
• Adaptable in evolving environments and comfortable with ambiguity.
• AI-forward thinking with human-in-the-loop validation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and collaborate with product and engineering teams to evolve data models and taxonomies.
• Prioritize learning across title data models and formats based on business needs.
• Understand lifecycle impacts and establish relationships with relevant teams.
• Build trust and alignment with partner teams through influence and shared goals.
• Assess and communicate impacts of adjacent-system changes on title data and lead responses.
• Create documentation for title lifecycle changes and contribute to automation workflows.
• Define what a "title" means for new content formats and translate into operational rules.
• Maintain cross-domain duplicates framework to prevent downstream disruptions.
• Partner with Data Lead on title integrity and handoffs.
• Collaborate with Data Quality Analysts to inform operations and knowledge docs.
• Set lifecycle domain goals and report progress to leadership.
• Contribute to roadmap initiatives and annual strategic goals.
