Job summary

PNC is seeking a Data Expert in Pittsburgh, PA to join the Information Lifecycle Governance team within Data & Automation. You will define retention strategies, standards, and processes to enable scalable lifecycle management across unstructured data repositories, focusing on SharePoint and Microsoft 365.

The role emphasizes records management, regulatory retention, and collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure proper configuration and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and retention policies.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for automated retention and disposition capabilities, driving enterprise strategy for unstructured data lifecycle management across SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and future collaboration platforms.
• Lead the implementation and governance of automated retention and disposition capabilities across SharePoint and other enterprise collaboration platforms.
• Partner with business stakeholders, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure SharePoint sites are configured to support records retention, legal hold, and regulatory requirements.
• Translate records retention schedules, policy requirements, and business needs into practical SharePoint retention configurations and operational controls.
• Monitor retention automation effectiveness and partner with technology teams to resolve exceptions, improve controls, and enhance adoption.
