PNC's Data & Automation organization seeks a Data Scientist to support AI governance, analytics, and reporting activities in Pittsburgh. The role involves coordinating governance forums, collaborating with Legal, Ethics, HR, Risk, and Technology, and delivering actionable insights from structured and unstructured data.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree, 3+ years of experience, and expertise in Python with Tableau/Power BI, plus familiarity with AI risk management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Proficiency in Python, with Tableau and Power BI preferred.
• Experience aligned to AI Risk Management.
• Analytical thinking and data-focused capabilities across AI, Data Analytics, Data Mining, Data Science, ML.
• Certifications are often desired; no required licenses specified.
• In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage governance forum operations including agenda creation, meeting preparation, decision tracking, and documentation management.
• Coordinate with Legal, Ethics, HR, Risk, and Technology using relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Support Responsible AI reporting activities, including program innovation and IP tracking.
• Work in a highly visible capacity with output reviewed by senior leadership and governance records.
• Perform analytics on structured and unstructured data to identify actionable business insights.
• Contribute to data gathering, processing, and mining for large datasets.
• Develop algorithms using ML to predict outcomes and recommend actions to management.
• Run analytical experiments to identify opportunities for product and process optimization.
• Present business insights to management using visualization technologies and data storytelling.
• May partner with Data Architects, Analysts, Engineers, and Visualization Experts to build data-driven solutions.
