Job summary

Inovalon, Inc. seeks a VP, Commercial Strategy to define how its Insights data assets are commercialized and licensed across life sciences, payers, providers, and analytics partners.

You will shape licensing governance, develop monetization models, and drive deal velocity while partnering with Legal, Finance, Product and Data Governance to ensure regulatory compliance and scalable growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in healthcare data/analytics or data-driven enterprise business.
• 5+ years in senior leadership focused on data licensing or deal structuring.
• Deep expertise in data licensing structures and derived-data rights.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the commercial strategy for data licensing and derived-data partnerships.
• Coordinate data rights and licensing decisions with Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, Data Science, and Data Governance.
• Design licensing frameworks, templates, and guardrails to reduce negotiation friction.
• Structure enterprise licensing agreements and data partnerships, including escalations and non-standard terms.
• Ensure licensing terms align with data rights, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and Data Governance to monetize data products responsibly.
• Translate regulatory constraints into commercially viable offerings for multiple customer segments.
• Lead data rights integration in M&A activity and harmonize acquired data assets.
• Assess partnerships and acquisitions through a commercial data licensing lens.
