Job summary

Chime is seeking a Tech Lead Manager for the Data Intelligence Platform to own data integration pipelines and connectors moving data across Chime's ecosystem. You will lead a hands‑on team, shape architecture, and deliver reliable, secure data flows for analytics, experimentation and AI‑driven product experiences.

You will collaborate with product, security and analytics teams, define data contracts and SLAs, and grow a team of engineers while maintaining operational excellence and strong

Qualifications

• 8+ years of high‑scale, high‑reliability software development with focus on platforms and data movement.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams including hiring and performance management.
• Hands‑on coding ability; comfortable writing production code to unlock progress.
• Experience scaling products and operations to support rapid growth in data volume and complexity.
• Deep experience with data integration components, CDC pipelines, data contracts, and schema evolution.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and roadmap for the Data Integration Platform including ingestion pipelines and connectors.
• Stay hands‑on through architecture reviews, targeted production contributions, and coaching.
• Design scalable, high‑performance integration architecture balancing reliability, cost and ease of use.
• Build and operate connectors and pipelines across APIs, event streams, file transfers, and CDC.
• Define ingress/egress patterns, throughput targets, schema evolution and error handling.
• Collaborate with partner teams to define data contracts, schemas and SLAs.
• Build tooling for governance, RBAC, PII protection, lineage and auditability.
• Manage and grow a team of engineers; set expectations and raise engineering quality.
• Establish on‑call, incident management, postmortems and SLOs for pipelines.
• Stay ahead of data integration trends and introduce new technologies when beneficial.
