Job summary

The IAPP in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Data Operations Specialist to maintain data flows, build reports, and ensure data quality across departments. You will collaborate to support operational metrics and improve reporting capabilities.

You will leverage Power BI, SQL, and AWS to load, clean, and transform data from multiple sources, document processes, and contribute to the organization’s data strategy. A hybrid work arrangement with two remote days and three days in the Portsmouth office is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1+ year experience using SQL; read, write, modify complex queries.
• Experience with Power BI to build reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud data platforms a plus.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to support data work.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, cross-sheet references).
• Experience analyzing data for inaccuracies and inconsistencies.
• Ability to translate internal needs into analytics and visuals.
• Experience with modern data tools to inspect/transform data at scale.
• Exposure to Salesforce, Marketo, NetSuite a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to understand and support critical metrics.
• Create reports, visualizations, and dashboards using Power BI.
• Provide ongoing support to maintain departmental reporting capabilities.
• Leverage business knowledge to inform analysis and data flows.
• Contribute to development and execution of data strategy and governance.
• Utilize AI tools to automate tasks, speed analysis, and surface insights.
• Identify root causes of data issues and propose practical solutions.
• Support data integrity and normalization across sources.
• Load, clean, and manipulate data from multiple sources using AWS tools.
• Document processes transforming data for reporting and ensure freshness.
• Assist with SQL-based database support and troubleshooting.
• Monitor data patterns for irregularities and propose improvements.
• Build relationships across staff to promote self-service analytics.
