Job description

The Data & Information Architect will play a crucial role in defining the data strategy, architecture, and information frameworks that support the organization’s objectives. This position focuses on ensuring effective data management to support business and analytical needs.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and implementing comprehensive data architectures that encompass data management, data integration, and data governance across the organization.
  2. Collaborating with stakeholders to identify data requirements and translating them into architectural designs that support current and future data needs.
  3. Establishing standards for data modeling, data quality, and data management practices to ensure consistency and reliability.
  4. Developing data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical documentation outlining data structures and relationships.
  5. Evaluating new data management technologies and tools, recommending their integration into existing architectures.
  6. Working with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure seamless data integration and availability for analysis.
  7. Championing best practices in data governance and promoting data stewardship throughout the organization.
  8. Staying current with trends in data architecture and information management to provide strategic insights.

This position is in the proposal phase.

Minimum requirements include:

  • U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship due to agency and contract requirements.
  • 8+ years of experience in data or information architecture.
  • Strong experience with data modeling tools, techniques, and governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and data integration tools.
  • Experience in developing data management and analytics strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strategic thinking about data architecture.

A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
