Job summary

Greenberg-Larraby, Inc. (GLI) seeks a Data Architect to design and manage the data architecture and framework supporting innovative data systems. You will shape data models, governance, and storage strategies to optimize data usability across the organization.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, model databases, and establish data quality, retention policies. This role requires deep DBMS experience, familiarity with big data, and strong communication to guide data teams.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship.
  • 10+ years of data architecture experience.
  • Experience with DBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data warehousing.
  • Big data technologies like Hadoop/Spark are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and managing the data architecture and framework to support innovative data systems. This role requires expert knowledge in database management systems, data modeling, and data storage solutions.

  • Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for data integration, analytics, and visualization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to data teams on best practices in data architecture.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in data technology and market trends to inform future architecture solutions.
Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience with big data technologies & frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
