Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience at U.S. E5 or Canadian equivalent, or 5 years’ experience in lieu.
• Minimum of 2 years of governance, data management, analytics, or related field
• Foundational governance concepts, metadata, and data quality understanding
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to support data efforts
• Strong analytical and attention to detail; effective communication and collaboration
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, standards, and controls
• Support enterprise governance initiatives through governance activities and deliverables
• Follow governance methodologies, templates, and best practices
• Create and maintain business metadata, technical metadata, glossary entries, and data catalog content
• Document data ownership, stewardship, and data lineage
• Maintain governance repositories and supporting materials
• Perform data quality assessments and validation
• Monitor data quality metrics and identify data issues
• Support root-cause analysis and remediation for data quality challenges
• Execute testing/validation of governed data assets
• Collaborate with Data Governance Managers to capture knowledge and requirements
• Prepare governance documentation and recommendations for review
• Populate and maintain data catalogs and governance platforms
• Support data classification and ownership alignment
• Maintain documentation and metadata for governed data assets
• Support governance communications and training materials
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of governance practices
