Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking a results-oriented Manager to lead data governance and management activities. You will partner with the Enterprise Data Governance & Management (EDGM) team and business leaders to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance across the organization.

The role focuses on governance execution, data products, change management, and driving a data-driven culture. Location is Charlotte, NC, with on-site work and growth opportunities within Ally’s Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of data governance, data management, or related roles.
• 6+ years in leadership, supervision, or mentoring responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day data governance and management within the business line.
• Lead Data Governance Tool and Data Product Governance execution.
• Provide data tooling and data pipeline support with quality checks.
• Coordinate reporting, dashboards, and status updates for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data Governance & Management team across the organization.
