Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to shape governance across Client Group, supporting North America and Europe & Asia. You will partner with governance teams to improve data quality, strengthen controls, and enable effective use of data.

You will lead complex initiatives, translate requirements into practical solutions, and mentor associates to foster accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related field.
• 7+ years of data governance or related experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, controls, and data quality.
• Experience with business analysis, risk assessments, and solution design.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of data governance strategies across Client Group data domains.
• Partner with Enterprise Data Governance and business governance forums to drive priorities.
• Oversee governance activities across NA and Europe & Asia Client Group data domains.
• Evaluate governance risks and propose improvements.
• Lead analysis and solution design for data governance initiatives.
• Define business requirements, future-state processes, and governance workflows.
